Interested in volunteering in your child’s class? Check with your child’s teacher to see if any of the following would be helpful to her:

Prepare the Reading Award Certificates. Fill in the student name, teacher name, school name and circle the month and grade level. Go ahead and fill them out for every student for each month. Sort each month into envelopes so all the teacher has to do is pull out the certificate and sign and date it.
Download and copy the appropriate tracking sheets. You could also monitor progress and collect the tracking sheets at the end of the month or whenever the reading goal is due.
Listen to students read – individually or in small groups.
Listen to oral book reports or review written book reports.
Read books appropriate to the grade level and give book reports - like Oprah!
Prepare a monthly bulletin board to help maintain a high level of interest through the program months.
