NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SWEEPSTAKES IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.

Eligibility: Both Nominator and Nominee must be a legal U.S. citizen 18 years of age as of April 1, 2011, residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Nominee must be a certified teacher working full-time and a participant in the 2010-11 BOOK IT! Program at an accredited school, public or private, in the U.S. (both the Nominator and Nominee can be referred as “Entrant”). Teachers are defined as those who plan, teach and evaluate students. Employees of Pizza Hut, Inc. (“PHI” or “Sponsor”), PHI’s parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, franchisees and agents and the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents) of each such employees, and all those with whom such employees are domiciled, are NOT eligible. Void where prohibited. Participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules.

Timing: Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 p.m. C.T. on Friday, April 1, 2011, and ends at 12:01:01 a.m. C.T. on Friday, April 22, 2011.

How to Enter: If the Nominator and Nominee meet the eligibility requirements, Nominator should visit www.bookitprogram.com/best to complete and submit the online entry form. Upon submission, the Nominator and Nominee will both be automatically entered for a chance to win a prize package in the Sweepstakes. Limit one entry / nomination per Nominator. More than one entry from any person or email address will be void.

Judging Process: Ten (10) winners (consisting of five (5) sets of Nominators and Nominees) will be selected by a panel of BOOK IT! staff members. Selection of the winning entries will be based on demonstration of commitment to reading and creativity in instilling a love of reading in students. Based on this criteria, winners will be selected on Friday, April 29, 2011. Total value of all prizes valued at $4,180. Each Entrant selected as a potential winner for the Prize Package must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements, including the completion of the Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release, as described in Section 6 below. For each Prize Package, a potential winner will be selected from all valid entries received. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone within forty-eight (48) hours of the drawing and the Prize Package will be awarded by mail.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, or such winner declines the Prize Package, an alternate eligible Entrant will be selected in his or her place from all eligible entries received for the Prize Package and the above notification process will be followed to notify the alternate winner of the Prize package. If either the Nominator or Nominee cannot be contacted, are ineligible, or decline a Prize Package, neither Nominator / Nominee will receive a Prize Package. Both the Nominator and the Nominee must be eligible for, and accept the Prize Package. If a winner cannot be found for the Prize Package after three attempts, Sponsor will have the right not to award such Prize Package. All Prize Packages will be distributed by May 28, 2011.
Prizes: For each of the ten (10) total Prize Package Winners, the following will be awarded:

One (1) NOOK™ Wireless Reading Device
One (1) NOOK™ Carrying Case

For each of the five (5) winning teachers, the following will also be awarded:

One (1) Display Plaque

Total value of each Prize: $275
Total value of all Prizes: $2,750
Sponsor is not responsible for lost or mutilated prizes and none will be replaced. The Prize Package is nontransferable and must be accepted as awarded. Neither cash nor other substitution may be made, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion, in which case, Sponsor will provide a prize of equal or greater value. All applicable federal, state and local taxes, fees and surcharges on the Prize Packages are the sole responsibility of the Prize Package Winner.

Evidence of Eligibility: Releases: Potential winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release, within seven (7) days of notification, failing which the potential winner will be disqualified and another winner selected in the place of the disqualified person in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. In consideration of being awarded a prize, the Prize Winners hereby agree and consent to Sponsor and those acting under Sponsor’s authority, to use each Winner’s name, picture/portrait likeness and/or voice, for advertising and promotional purposes without further authorization, consideration or remuneration of any kind, unless prohibited by law. ENTRANT AGREES THAT PIZZA HUT, INC., ITS PARENT, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, FRANCHISEES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES OR PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITY.

Disputes; Jurisdiction: Except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas or the appropriate Texas State Court located in Dallas County, Texas; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.

Miscellaneous: By entering or participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the promotion itself. All Entries become the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen or misdirected entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, PIZZA HUT, INC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
