(hereinafter referred to as either, "Company", "We", "Us" or "Our"), located at 14841 Dallas Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75254. The BOOK IT!® Program is designed to help children build reading-readiness skills along with an at-home reading routine and to motivate young students to become confident and independent readers. This Site is designed to further the BOOK IT! Program by providing a variety of products, services and resources for teachers, administrators, and parents. Among the resources on this Site you will find a BOOK IT! Alumni forum to share BOOK IT! Program memories, tools for teachers, administrators, and parents to encourage reading at home and to participate in the BOOK IT! Program, and a “Bound Together” club for Parents which provides tools on how to encourage children to read at home. We are committed to protecting the privacy of personal information you may provide Us on this Site. We believe it is important for you to know how We treat your personal information. We updated this Privacy Policy effective as of February 23, 2010. The terms of this Privacy Policy apply to all users of this Site. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should immediately cease the use of this Site. Below you will find answers to several questions regarding Our revised Privacy Policy.
What Information does Company collect about me on this site? You will have the choice whether or not to disclose such Personal Information in the above activities; however, some parts of the Site and some services may be more difficult or impossible to use if you choose not to disclose Personal Information. At the time of registration, you will have the option to receive future communications related to the BOOK IT! Program from the Company by checking the appropriate opt-in box. If you choose to opt-in, your Personal Information will be kept in a secured database and We will alert you via your e-mail address regarding such information and new services. The Website also allows students to take anonymous online surveys to provide their feedback on certain timely topics. Students who participate in the online surveys are asked only a survey question and may be asked what state they live in. At this time, this Site does not collect Personal Information from children, including children under 13. Any information students submit may be posted on the Site as individual responses or may be aggregated to provide statistical survey results. For example, an aggregate result is that 50% of students would like to have juice dispensed from the water fountains at school. If the question allows a written answer (such as an essay question), any Personal Information in the answer will be removed before it is posted on the Site. In addition to Personal Information provided to Us as identified above, Our web servers automatically identify computers by their IP addresses. Company and its service providers may use IP addresses to analyze trends. Company will not link these IP addresses to Personal Information.
